I am a people person and am friendly. I was born and raised in Great Falls, Montana and graduated from MSU in Bozeman. The Big Sky hospitality has stayed in me even though I moved to the Seattle area about 25 years ago by choice. I am a retired elementary teacher. I like to get to know both men and woman and like to share ideas and thoughts with both. I am content being by myself with quiet time, but love change and challenges, which is one of the reasons why I joined a hiking club and am now hiking in the mountains and the beaches. Getting sore and loving it. I have three adult children. I love to spoil my grandchildren, but don't babysit too much. I've done my tour. I have completed my manuscript about life after stroke. I had brain surgery after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke (cause unknown). I survived, but was left with aphasia. Fifteen years ago I scribbled when trying to write, and I certainly wasn't on the web. Most people can't tell that I have any language problems. Once in awhile I may look at a sheep and call it a fish, but I can live with that. As a stroke survivor, I have worked hard to overcome. I believe in hard work and I challenge myself to do my best. I am an officially author now. My book Embrace the Moment is out. I like to travel. A couple of years ago I visited my penpal friends in England and Scotland and went to Ireland to kiss the Blarney Stone. Now I really have the "gift of gab". Besides traveling, hiking, and writing a book, I like to write poetry, write children's stories (one story was published), garden, dance, love music of all kinds, volunteer, do photography, relax in a hot tub, obviously love to try new things, exercise, and have walked a half marathon in Jamaica where it is hot-hot and have walked a full marathon in Vancouver, Canada after my "bleeder". I joined Toastmaster's Club and received my CTM (Competent Toastmaster) pin after my stroke, and now do some public speaking for the American Stroke Association. I am spiritual, I forgive easily, and had a near-death experience. I appreciate what I have and love my moments. I think there is nothing more satisfying than helping others and meeting new people.
My Ideal Person:
Someone who Lives in Dreams! Lives in Moments! Enjoys Life!
